Use the joy of busking to raise awareness for the organizations doing the work you care about.

The Busking for Change program grew organically through Connected by Music talking with local musicians who wanted an easy way to get started working with the causes they care about.

One of our members put the idea out on Facebook, and within minutes we had musicians wanting to know how to get going. It's easy! In the simplest form, grab your instrument, find a legal place to play with good foot traffic (the Pearl Street Mall in Boulder is hard to beat), and put up some signage with a link to information about an organization. You can donate some of your own tips or not - all up to you! This is your chance to let the world know what you care about, and to let them know about the organizations you care about.

We are working on templates that will make this easier for you, but here's a sample you can use. The Kerrville flooding hit many Colorado musicians hard, because of the beloved Kerrville Folk Festival. So one of our members this printable Busking for Texas Flood Relief sign. Feel free to use it, share it, or use it as a template for your own causes.
