Lyrics

Once upon a time there was a very busy bee and a very fluffy bunny and a very happy me
We were headed off to the jamboree
Fluffy bunny said to the busy bee - When we get there will you dance with me?
The bee said - Only one dance ‘cause I’ll be bizzz—eee

At the Jamboree was the place to be
The Jamboree, dancing fun far as the eye can see
It was in that barn on 4 Mile Crick; it’s a country place, not city slick
Just the right spot to kick up dust with glee

The band was playing fiddle tunes; we were dancing inside and under the moon
The hens were clucking time with the raccoons
A fox asked the bunny, “Can I have this dance?” The bunny replied “There ain’t no chance
That I would give you even a second glance”

At the Jamboree was the place to be!
The Jamboree, dancing fun far as the eye can see
It was in that barn on 4 Mile Crick. It’s a country place, not city slick,
Just the right spot to kick up dust with glee.

The rattlesnakes danced the cha cha
The squirrels preferred the samba
The deer danced clear across Texas
The excitement was infectious

After hours of dancing we were tuckered out, so we headed for home but there ain’t no doubt
We’ll be back next year to twist and shout.
On the way the bee went to sleep so I carried him; we joined up with some sheep
We all fell asleep in a great big heap

At the Jamboree was the place to be!
The Jamboree, dancing fun far as the eye can see
It was in that barn on 4 Mile Crick. It’s a country place, not city slick,
Just the right spot to kick up dust with glee.
Yeah it was just the right spot to kick up dust with glee.
